Keynote: Return On Influence: The New Currency for Leaders
Based on Susan’s book, Return On Influence: The New Currency for Leaders,
this keynote addresses the Five Levels of Influence. All Leaders, at any level, need to understand the Five Levels of Influence when communicating with their teams, clients or customers, and suppliers. These Levels of Influence are based on Susan’s observations and experiences as a CEO, as well as working with leaders at every level, across industry lines, for 30+ years, on 6 continents, and in over 50 countries. This fresh and unique perspective will encourage leaders to look at the how and why of their influence and understand how to elevate their messages to maximize their Return On Influence (ROI).

Your Legacy; Your Story (An Epiphany)
We are all on a journey – parts of our respective journeys we share with others. Our journeys have multiple parts and facets – personal, professional, general, intimate, successful, challenging.
In my experience how we behave, react, and/or respond to the moments that fill our journeys contribute to our individual legacies. We live our lives, create moments, make memories, share thoughts, ideas and experiences. It all contributes to the legacies we build and leave. And make no mistake . . . we all leave a legacy; good or bad, lasting or fleeting.
The question becomes will your legacy be the experiences you talk about or those you live, that are remembered and enhanced through the lives you touch?
Your Legacy; Your Story - Keynote
In this thoughtful and unique keynote presentation on leadership and legacy, the focus will be on what it takes, within any industry, to create and leave a legacy that will spread beyond your current customers and clients and perhaps beyond your lifetime.
As any profession/industry matures and evolves, legacies become an integral part of how that process works. In every part of the journey, challenges are met, experienced, and overcome. They all contribute to the ever-evolving legacy. Those who are aware of what’s gone on before, not only shorten their learning curve, but also have the opportunity to contribute to the collaborative and public legacy.
This presentation, based on research of your specific industry, plus Susan’s personal experiences of working with all levels of organizations across industry lines, helps to summarize where the journey began, why it is important, and how each of us contributes to the ongoing evolution of both our personal and collective legacies.
Your Legacy; Your Story - Workshop
Building on the foundation of the Keynote, Your Legacy; Your Story (see above), this 2 – 3 hour workshop allows participants to develop a plan for contributing to the legacy of their organization/profession by sharing portions of their individual journeys. Strategies and techniques will be discussed on how best to integrate these plans into daily behaviours and operations within their organizations.
KEYNOTE OR HALF DAY WORKSHOP
Leadership: From Conversation to Collaboration
From water coolers to totem poles to the changing of the guard -- these diverse ideas may sound absurd in terms of assisting organizations to grow? However, Albert Einstein said, "If at first the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it." What kind of ideas are you providing and/ or supporting as a leader to move your organization forward?
These seemingly unrelated thoughts can assist you in thinking about your organization and how things get done. A shared corporate culture continually responding to change, demands the use of strategic storytelling.
From the traditions of heritage, to the structure of procedures, to the "gossip" of "corporate stupidity," the stories we share provide the basis for organizational behavior and receptivity to change. Strategic storytelling enables change by providing direct access to the living part of the organization. Stories inhabit the head space of the individuals who make up your organization and affect how your corporate culture evolves.
This program communicates how stories and storytelling are your corporate culture. It provides opportunities for learning and examples of how organizations, on multiple continents, that implement storytelling have turned resistance to change into enthusiasm for the adventure.
